Broken Earth Winery

Broken Earth Winery - Paso Robles

Paso Robles newest winery, is a dramatic destination just a few miles east of  Paso Robles on Highway 46. Open daily for tasting.

Rancho Tierra Rejada, Spanish for “land of worked earth,” is the original name of the 2,500 acre Paso Robles ranch that is now home to the vineyards of Broken Earth Winery.  Broken Earth Winery remains committed to sustainable ideals, and to continuing to bolster the high-quality reputation of Paso Robles wines.

New Paso Robles AVA's Approved

Paso Robles wine just got a lot more complicated—but many local winemakers say that's for the better. Seven years after it was originally petitioned, the Federal Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) has approved 11 new American Viticultural Areas (AVA) within the existing Paso Robles viticultural area. The move will subdivide Paso’s 614,000 acres—the largest un-subdivided AVA within California—into more distinct winegrowing regions.
