May 17-19, 2013, Paso Robles

Here in Paso, we take winemaking pretty seriously. In fact, we hold a festival every year to honor our grapes and the wines they create. We call it simply: Wine Festival. This year will be our 31st Annual Wine Festival — a celebration of taste, tradition and triumphs of wine ambition. It’s a time to Grow Wild with innovation. And a time to unwind and enjoy the finest food and wine Paso Robles Wine Country has to offer.

The 31st Annual Wine Festival begins Friday, May 17, 2013 as select wineries feature their Library, Reserve, White/Rosé, Futures and terrific tastes at the Reserve Event. On Saturday, May 18, 2013, more than 60 wineries come together in the Paso Robles Downtown City Park to showcase their wines alongside culinary samplings during the Grand Tasting. There will also be a fun Winemaker Seminar preceding this tasting event.

New in 2013, the wineries for the Grand Tasting will be arranged by region to create an even more enjoyable and memorable tasting experience. Wineries will be organized into five “regions” for tasting: Bordeaux, Rhône, Zinfandel, Burgundy and other wild wines for your tasting pleasure. Taste wines from more than 60 Paso Robles wineries, featuring more than 300 wines, all in the Downtown Paso Robles Park! Wine and food at the Grand Tasting will be complemented by the sounds of One Time Spaceman, an original rock band from the Central Coast of California!

November , 2013 Windmill Farms, Paso Robles

The third annual Paso Garagiste Festival is coming back to Paso Robles, California in November 2013 at the amazing Windfall Farms.

Garagiste is a 100% independent, pro-consumer purveyor of wine, food, wisdom, and esoteric tidbits of travel and culture with an international following bred from respect and trust for our frank and open discourse on topics many would rather brush under the rug. We are not very popular with other wine retailers or those in the trade, but we are extremely popular with consumers.

GARAGISTES - (gar-uh-zhÄ“-stuh) n, Fr. – A term originally used in the Bordeaux region of France to denigrate renegade small-lot wine makers, sometimes working in their garage, who refused to follow the “rules.” Now a full-fledged movement responsible for making some of the best wine in the world. Who’s laughing now, Francois?  more info

Agri-tourism fans will enjoy the opportunity to sample and purchase area-produced food and beverages, and nationally-renowned olive oil all year round.  These specialties can be found at local food events, festivals and other attractions.

Visitors will not want to miss the grass-fed beef, artisan cheeses and other delicacies available at the local Farmers Markets. Guests can tour, taste, learn and enjoy while visiting sustainable and working farms in the area.

The Winery Partners of the PAC is a group of ten Paso Robles and Templeton wineries who have joined forces to provide major financial support for the Performing Arts Center, San Luis Obispo. Their generosity and commitment to the community keeps The Performing Arts Center thriving making it possible for 100,000 children and adults to enjoy the arts each year.
