Paso Robles has dozens of memorable wineries to visit. Here is a tour of four top wineries all within close proximity showcasing a wide variety of wine types, winemaking styles, tasting facilities, and history. West Side Wine Tour Map

Peachy Canyon Winery - Peachy Canyon is a small family owned winery in beautiful Paso Robles.  The winery has been owned and operated by the Beckett Family since 1988.  The Peachy Canyon "Old School House" tasting room, located on Highway 46 West, remains a landmark attraction. The historic Old Bethel School House (circa 1886) is definitely a must visit.  Come taste the world famous estate Zinfandels or any of the other 15+ handcrafted small batch Rhone & Bordeaux varietals you can't get anywhere else.
Great gift shop and picnic grounds.

Lone Madrone - Sharing the lovely property with the Sycamore Herb Farm is the newly constructed wood barn and tasting room of Lone Madrone. The spacious and eclectic grounds of the herb farm create a great place for this stylish tasting room, where Rhône-style, Bordeaux and Italian varietals are made from organic and biodynamic grown grapes. Open daily 10:30 to 5pm (805) 238-0845

Jada Vineyard & Winery resides on a small hilltop and produces Bordeaux and Rhône blends. The modern open air tasting room has a sleek and impressive ambiance and a great deck to enjoy the outdoors. The friendly staff will guide you through the wines paired with fine cheeses from Paso’s local cheese shop, Vivant.

You can sample Jada’s Tuscan-style olive oil made from olives grown on the estate. Open Thursday noon to 5 pm, Friday – Sunday 10 am – 5 pm (805) 226-4200

Rotta Winery, founded in 1908 by the Rotta Family, is the only remaining family owned “original” winery in San Luis Obispo County.  The focus is on red wines including Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Merlot, and Black Monukka– a dessert wine and Zinfandel Port. The 20-acre dry farmed Rotta estate vineyard has 15 acres in Zinfandel and five in Cabernet Sauvignon.

There is a large patio out front of the tasting room and a charming and cozy experience inside. The room is made from reclaimed wood and is warm and inviting. Open Daily 11- 5pm, Summer till 6pm on weekends.  (805) 237-0510

On top of a small knoll sits the country-casual, white farm house home of JanKris Vineyards. JanKris wines are 100 percent estate grown; blending the subtle differences of east and west side Paso Robles grapes, grown on the JanKris properties. The wines are fruit forward with soft tannins and are a good value. Their vineyards are planted to Merlot, Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Sangiovese, Petite Syrah, Petite Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Mourvèdre, Chardonnay, and Viognier. Open 11 to 5 pm daily, Tasting is complimentary. (805) 434-0319
