Three days and two nights of winery dinners, vineyard tours, informative tastings and a chance to experience wine country from the prospective of a wine producer.

Friday, April 24th

Central Coast Wine Competition Gold Medal Tasting
The Central Coast Wine Competition evaluates over 600 wines from Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo and Monterey counties. The judging panel of industry professionals included wine and lifestyle media, buyers and sommeliers from well recognized companies. Wine competition judges will be our moderators as they lead us through a tasting of some of the competition gold medal winners. Discussions will include regional characteristics and distinctive qualities with random remarks and lots of time to answer questions.

Dinner in the Caves at Eberle Winery
Join Gary Eberle and Chef Laurent Grangien, Bistro Laurent, for a multi course dinner that will highlight some of our regions delicious assets. Say goodbye to the sun over a tasting of Eberle award winning wines and tour the winery and caves. Dinner is served in the Wild Boar room, with a special selection of Eberle wines.

Saturday, April 25th

Viticulture Primer at Steinbeck Vineyards
April is an exciting time to be in the vineyard as the vines actively awaken from their winter sleep. This is your opportunity to learn hands on the ins and outs of wine grape farming. You will understand what it takes to plant a vineyard and maintain it year round. During your vineyard visit you can see how pruning and trellising techniques can influence wine style.

Halter Ranch Winery
One of the most beautiful historic ranches on Paso Robles’ west side, this winery is rapidly stepping to the head of the class with their Rhone and Bordeaux style wines. Savor the gorgeous scenery while learning about what motivated the transition of a traditional working ranch into a 250 acre estate of hillside vineyards, a beautifully renovated Victorian farmhouse and construction for a state of the art winery. Halter Ranch winemaker Bill Sheffer, named 2008 Central Coast Winemaker of the Year, is on hand to share future plans for fabulous wines.

Jada Winery
This very stylish new winery is turning heads. Not only for the thoughtful design of their winery and tasting room, but also for the quality of wine that is being produced in their infancy. Enjoy a wine country lunch on this charming estate enhanced with Jada wine and their home grown olive oil.

Villa Creek Cellars
Touted as one of Robert Parker’s favorite Paso Robles wineries your visit here will be highlighted by their new spring releases. Cris Cherry and his wife Joann have dedicated themselves to producing a very small quantity of wines. Utilizing the art of blending they achieve the style of producers from the Southern Rhone and bodegas of Rioja and Priorat. Enjoy now as these wines don’t last long!

J.Lohr Winery
A pioneer of the Central Coast wine region, Jerry Lohr and his family have set the benchmark for viticulture and winery practices on the Central Coast. Named 2008 Wine Industry Person of the Year, Jerry Lohr’s vision has established an extensive market share throughout the United States and in over 25 other countries. Their vineyards in Monterey and Paso Robles, with the diversity of grapes they have access to, provide a very extensive portfolio of wines. Their philosophy and spirit of community is reflected in the presentation of their wines as you conclude your day with this informative and diverse tasting.

Sunday, April 26th

Winemaker for a Morning
Create your own custom wine under the guidance of head winemaker, Signe Zoller who has over 20 years of winemaking experience and is recognized as one of California’s notable winemakers. This is your chance to participate in the process and experience what winemaking is all about. Your accomplishment will be shipped to you for a remembrance of your new skills and knowledge.

Sparkling Wine & Brunch
Winemaker Greg Cropper will share his small lot of sparkling wine produced from the Carmody McKnight estate. Take a crash course in sparkling wine production, taste the wines and savor the beauty of their estate over a lingering brunch while overlooking a scenic pond surrounded by estate vineyards. Proprietor Gary Conway, (Land of the Giants) takes an artful approach with their wine and winery.

Tablas Creek Winery
Tablas Creek follows the centuries-old Châteauneuf du Pape tradition of blending chosen varietals, which produces wines that are more complex, better balanced, and richer than single varietal wines. Follow their French connection with the Perrin family as you taste their California version of Provence.
