Forty miles north of Santa Barbara, a winding, country road takes you through rolling hills punctuated by ancient oaks, vineyards, and over a dozen wineries. Starting near the wine village of Los Olivos the trail heads north from Zaca Station Road into sparsely populated horse and grape country. This is part of the road that Miles and Jack took on their “Sideways Tour” in the 2005 film. Wineries range from small rustic farm houses to out of the way ranches to grand estates. The six mile tour starts at the destination winery of Firestone Vineyard and ends at Zaca Mesa's rustic redwood barn tucked back in a small canyon.

To make a really great trip leave the driving to a professional, contact Breakaway Tours at 800.799.7657. They have many tour options customized to your interests. and needs.
