Addamo Vineyards Description

The Addamo Family is originally from Sicily, Italy, and there produced wine for their friends and family for generations. David Addamo grew up farming Cabernet Sauvignon with his parents in Hollister California. He and his wife Liz came to Santa Maria in 2000 and planted 120 acres with six varieties of grapes.

The vineyard estate is 10 miles east of the Pacific Coast in the Santa Maria Valley appellation. The focus is on Pinot Noir. They also grow Dolcetto, Chardonnay, Syrah, Riesling and Grenache. The vineyard benefits from the cool, maritime influences. The long “hang-time” of the fruit is due in great part to the temperate climate of this coastal appellation and the microclimates of the vineyard.

The vineyard property hosts wine events during the year including their well regarded Red Carpet Club member events.

The Addamo tasting room shares space with their successful Addamo Bistro located in Old Town Orcutt. (Liz is a professional chef.) The bistro restaurant serves lunch and dinner six days a week. The granite tasting bar is complete a friendly staff member to walk you through the flights of wines or sit down at one of the tables and enjoy table service. Try their Estate Pinot Noir or for something fruity the Estate Riesling.

Food and Wine!
Rocko, Santa Barbara
Have some lunch and taste too. We were surprised by this place out in Orcutt. The wines were very interesting and good, especially their Pinot Noir. The tasting room is part of the restaurant and is homey and relaxed. The wine is worth buying.

Pinot's and Grencahe
Wino,
Yes this is a recommended stop for some very good red wines. The Pinot Noir's will be hard to beat. They also make a Chard and a very nice Grenache that is a variety that is not something you find too often. Charming place.

Good food and Great wine
James, Fresno
We stopped off for lunch and stayed for the wine! They had some very interesting reds including Dolcetto and a great Pinot Noir. We did not expect wine tasting in Orcutt but it was very worthwhile. We purchased some to take home and will return with friends.
