Alderbrook Vineyards Description
The green, wood-sided, farmhouse-like structure greets visitors to this friendly and inviting winery operation specializing in red wines, especially Pinot Noir and old-vine Zinfandel.
Visitors enter the tasting room under the wide veranda surrounded by a white railing. Inside the tasting room there are wooden floors, a paneled-wood ceiling and a cozy tasting bar. There is a separate room off to the side for private gatherings.
The main room has a fully stocked gift shop with a wide selection of wine accessories, gourmet foods, pottery, logo clothes and lots of homey gift items. A deli case has cheeses and other snacks to accompany your wine. Out back is a lawn with a picnic area.
In addition to Pinot Noir and Zinfandel, Alderbrook’s portfolio of wines includes Syrah, Carignane, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Their fruit comes from both the Dry Creek area and the cooler Russian River Valley.

AlderbrookGlass Man, Anaheim Hills Alderbrook, Westside Rd at Mill St Healdsburg: Ronnie, who also works at St Francis, poured for us. Very knowledgeable. Pulled out an Oz Clark book during our discussions. This is the mark of a true student of wine. He rinsed our glasses with the wine before each taste, which shows attention to detail and quality. We tasted at least seven different Zins in flights. Very confusing. We tasted a Carignane. The Sarah was excellent. There was a $19 Zin we would have purchased, but it was for members only. Again, we felt bad for not buying anything. Ronnie was so nice. We had a great visit!
