Barr Estate Winery Description
Barr Estate Winery in Paso Robles is a family affair where son Geoff manages the vineyard,daughter Mathilde helps with sales and Greg and Tealy oversee the operation.
The Barr vineyard is approximately 50 planted acres . The majority (38 acres) is dedicated to Cabernet Sauvignon. The remaining acreage consists of Albarino,Malbec,Petit Verdot and Petit Syrah.
During the growing season temperatures can be in the high 90's-100 and drop down 30-40 degrees during the night due to the low humidity. This is instrumental in the develpment of tannins. With the combination of weather,the soil quality and geography in the vineyard it makes for an excellent "Terroir" on the Central Coast.
The tasting room will be opening on the Barr vineyard on Union Rd. in Paso Robles in Sept. 2011. |

 Great Albarino!WineHound, Arroyo Grande The Albarino was my favorite, crisp, refreshing and not a varietal you find very often. The tasting room is a shared facility, so not very much in the way of atmosphere, space or gift items, but you are being served by the wine maker the vast majority of the time. This is really makes for a great experience!

 Barr Estate Malbeteddyluv, Escondido First time we tasted The Barr Estate Malbec, my husband and I said at the same time. "Outstanding!" We bought a case. Very rich and smooth taste, we find it goes with everything, especially lamb and beef, even poultry. Try it, you'll love it!

We entertain often and I only serve Barr Estates Wine since first discovering it!
We drink their Cab, Jubilado and Melbec, which has won several medals!

My favorite wine! cbeard, San Diego My husband and I have been enjoying Barr Estates wine for several months now. We LOVE their wine. We entertain often and always serve Barr wine. Everyone loves their wines. I buy their Cab, Jubilado and Melbec.
I highly recommend Barr wines. Delicious wine at an affordable price.
