Established in 1991, Bell Wine Cellars is a small family-owned winery committed to handcrafting limited edition extraordinary wines that best reflect the terroir of their vineyards and the care and passion of their growers. Their famous Clone 6 Cabernet Sauvignon is grown in the Rutherford Region of Napa. The Merlot is grown on the estate vineyard surrounding the winery and their Chardonnay is grown on the vineyard adjacent to the winery. Needless to say, the vineyards take extra care in their varietals and are happily situated in one of the world-renowned districts for grape growing.

The tasting room is decorated with stacks of aromatic barrels and towering stainless steel tanks between which guests can wander and taste the signature Bell Cabernet. They also serve Chardonnay, Merlot, and Syrah and offer a wide array of tasting and tour experiences. The daily available tasting offers guests five current release wines, and they can take their wine out on to the patio to enjoy the view of the vineyard to the Mayacamas range bordering the valley. Guest can watch the hills at sunset change shades of blue as the sun sets behind Mount St. John, flooding the valley in golden light. This area is a great place for a picnic, with the Wine Train tooting off in the distance.

Bell Wine Cellars also offer other tastings such as a wine and cheese pairing and a sensory tasting, where the staff guides guests through tasting the subtle differences of a wine’s bouquet. There is a blending seminar available, where guests get to create their own private reserve and a large group tasting, where a large party can enjoy wine and cheese and tour the vineyard and winery. Bell Wine Cellars is open 10:00 to 4:00 daily but visits are by appointment only.
