Bella Vista Winery Description

Through a non-descript front door, visitors entering Bella Vista Winery will find an exciting, entertaining and wholly satisfying wine-tasting experience. A beautiful, well-stocked gift shop and deli and one of the largest and most popular tasting rooms in the valley offer visitors over a dozen quality white, red, sparkling and dessert wines.

The hillside location off Calle Contento is the site of the first commercial vineyard planted in the Temecula area. It was here that Temecula proved to be a suitable area to grow premium vinifera grapes. Bella Vista will soon be the first winery in the area to have certified organic vineyards. In addition to making the classic California Varietals, Bella Vista also produces sparkling wines, sweet Muscat offerings, a late-harvest Petite Sirah and a number of good blends.

The winery was built in 1978 and is now owned by Hungarian-born Imre Cziraki, who has owned vineyards in the area since 1982. In Hungary, he helped the family make wine when he was a young boy and brings this experience to Bella Vista.

A number of improvements have been made to the property, with more planned. In the coming months the Vista Picnic Area above the winery will be completed featuring shady palapas, brick walkways and more tables and chairs around the pond to sit in while taking in the panoramic views. A great stop not to be missed.

Upon first entering the grounds of Bel Vino, you are greeted with a warm, comfortable, 'authentic' atmosphere. The staff, although busy, greets you at the door. The servers are knowledgeable, helpful and engage in conversation. More importantly, the wines, especially the reds, are very respectable. I was very impressed overall. Keep up the great job! lgennawey, temecula
What a wonderful time we had. This is the 1st winery in temecula. They are family owned & the staff is knowledgeable & we had a great time hanging out! BEST OF ALL THE WINES ARE WONDERFUL. Better than 9 out of 10 wineries in the area!
