Tony and Kimberly Krik established Birdstone Winery with the goal of producing world-class wines from Madera-appellation grapes. A friend and family effort from the start, Birdstone's winemaking team includes Tony, Kimberly, and their sons Travis and Conner.

In the span of a few years, Tony and Kimberly went from making a few barrels of wine for family and friends to opening and operating a profitable working winery.  Birdstone Winery currently buys 100 percent of their fruit from a number of local winegrape growers, and works with the Madera Vitners Association to promote excellence in winemaking and help direct the growth of the Madera region through a commitment to modern winemaking techniques and sustainable vineyard practices. In 2008, the Kirk family embarked on their own vineyard development program, and they are training vines today for wines that will be served on family tables for years to come.
