Brassfield Estate Winery Description

The western section of High Valley Appellation is the home of High Serenity Ranch and the remarkable Brassfield Winery & Vineyard. The 2,500 acre former cattle ranch is now an impressive winery estate with a state of the art winery.

The combination of volcanic and alluvial soils combined with a myriad of microclimates permit Brassfield Estate to plant an amazing array of grapes, 19 in all, from Italian Pinot Grigio, California Zinfandel, German Gewurztraminer and Johannisberg Riesling to French classics Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Grenache, Petite Sirah, Malbec and Mourvedre. Vineyard elevations range from 1900 feet on the valley floor to over 3000 feet in the surrounding mountains.

Consulting winemaker David Ramey's skilled hands, transform these grapes into award winning estate-bottled wines. The wines feature forward fruit qualities that offer intense, ripe fruit characteristics balanced with good acid structure, full-bodied mouth feel, and silky tannins.

Currently the winery handles visitors with outdoor “porch” tasting as their formal tasting room is constructed. The lovely, spacious grounds are a pleasure to stroll through. Check out their demonstration vineyard and enjoy their formal walking tours. Please call in advance for reservations.

The grounds are breathtaking!! They are working on a new building and even the construction site is neat and clean. The gardens are well maintained. The wine is lovely and there is a great variety to chose from. I didn't have a bad taste!
