Cantara Cellars Description
Cantara Cellars began as a small winemaking hobby in the garage of Mike and Chris Brown's Moorpark home. With their home located in the "Cantara" section of the Serenata development it only seemed fitting to name the garage-sized winery "Cantara Cellars".
Beginning with 250 pounds of Chardonnay hand harvested from Mike's parent's vineyards in Lodi California, they fermented their first 18 gallons of wine! Over the next four years they carefully selected additional wine grape sources, increased their knowledge of winemaking, refined their wine style, expanded grape varieties, and increased production. This culminated with the opening of a public tasting room in October 2007.
Their 2300 sqft Production, Cellaring, and Wine Tasting facility is open to the public each weekend from 11 AM to 5 PM and other times by appointment.

 Well worth the stopphanson, Woodland Hills Nice little tasting room in Camarillo. The owners usually staff the tasting room so you get first hand knowledge of their wines and how they are produced. They just opened an area where you can buy a full glass and purchase a cheese plate. I like their Chardonnay and Tempranillo, When they have Barbera, that is also very good.
