Carr Vineyards & Winery Description
Carr Winery is located in downtown Santa Barbara in a 1940’s Quonset Hut. The unique location has a beautiful barrel top bar to sip from and allows guests to sharpen up their shuffleboard while enjoying the art of winemaking.
Their flagship wines are their tasty Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc. They also produce Pinot Gris, Syrah, Sangiovese and Grenache. The family manages six vineyards in the County securing optimal fruit for their wines.
Guests can taste each of the wines at the barrel top bar or sit and have a glass of wine in the grotto with a view of the barrel room.
The winery & tasting room are also available for private parties after hours, including corporate events, rehearsal dinners and wine receptions throughout the year.
The gift shop has many handmade items made by Santa Barbara artisans, including jewelry, candle holders, wine charms and pottery.

Hip, Young and Good.DigitalEye, Santa Barbara Ryan Carr is a young, hip urban winemaker and Carr is a young, hip urban winery. Luckily Carr also makes some fine wines form some unusual vineyards. Carr seems to specialize in the traditional (of the region) Rhone varietals making a couple of excellent Syrahs and a decent Grenache. He also dabbles in Bourdeaux making a velvety and mild Cab Franc and does a seriously good job with his line of Pinot Noirs.
Many of the winerys Carr uses are pretty unconventional. One excellent one is in the not so well known grape growing region of Carpenteria and another had been abandoned for several years before Carr took it over.
Whatever works though as Carr offer s some really good wine at fairly reasonable prices.

Delicious and Fun!LolaGrigio, San Diego Very cool place. Beautiful winery and barrel setting. Loved the Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc. It was worth the extra mile because this place was so unique and had great wines. Very small case productions. You could tell that their wines are hand crafted.

Love the Franc!Wino, Loved the fine Cab Franc. You can't find this varietal wine much as it is usually made into a blend. I like to hunt them out and this was one of the best I have come across. Nice soft tannins, lingering earthy flavors and a bit of fruit makes for a lovely dinner wine. I like the place and who can't love Santa Barbara!
