Decent but not Fantastic

Casa Barranca operates a tidy and decent tasting room right on the main drag in Ojai CA. They've turned a long narrow retail space into a comfy Craftsman era tasting room. CB seems to cover all the bases with its wine varietals, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Cab Sauv, Cab Franc Grenache, they appear to be the classic Jack-of-All-Trades winery. Unfortunately the other half of that moniker is Master-of-None and that seems to hold true here as well. We were greeted by a very friendly staff who poured generously through most of their line up. I found the only memorable wines were one of the Pinot Noirs ( the cheaper of the 2) and one of their red blends. The rest of the line up seemed ordinary and un-inspired. I think this place has potential but perhaps they need to focus a bit on doing one or two things well rather than trying to do everything.
