The Cassara family and staff are dedicated to continue to create superior Pinot Noirs, Syrah, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc as well as a few distinct "Winemaker Reserve" barrel select wines. Fruit is from nearby Sta. Rita Hills Appellation.
Pinot Noir is their specialty with their flagship Estate Grown Pinot Noir from their mountain vineyard at 880 feet altitude. This wine is complex yet should not be overpowered by any one flavor. Sweetness in many Pinot Noirs is simply the fruit qualities shining through while the wines are allowed to ferment to "dry".
The bright storefront tasting room is just a 1/2 mile form US 101 at the highway 246 exit on Valley Station Road. The limited production wines are well made and have won a number of prestigious awards.
