Chronic Cellars Description

Heading northwest on Nacimiento Lake Drive you pass Mustard Creek Road and the  tasting cottage of Chronic Cellars. Jake and Josh Beckett, both with nearby Peachy Canyon Winery, wanted to start something different-- a winery that targeted the casual lifestyle.

Late Harvest Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Marsanne, Mourvedre, Grenache Blanc, Rhone blends, Tempernillo blends and Petite Sirah make up the eclectic offerings. The 2008 Zinfandel is made from certified organic fruit.

There is a grassy lawn out in front of the tasting room along the road and a nice covered picnicking patio in back with a grape vine arbor overhead. Inside are two simple tasting bars set up on used wine barrels. There is a large brick fireplace, with comfy chairs and a tile floor. Logo clothes and wine accessories are for sale.

I have been to Chronic many, many times! I love their Riesling and purple paradise. The atmosphere is always fun too. We went once close to closing and they were in a rush to get us out quickly but that was the only time (of many and understandably) I had been disappointed by Chronic.

Loved the decor brought me back to my deadhead days. The dead nuts, purple paradisio, and the sofa king Buenos were incredible. Will stop in again next time I'm in the area

Awesome wines from Josh & Jake Beckett, sons of Peachy Canyon Winery Owners. The wines are killer, the labels are unique and different than anything you have ever seen, check them out!

Perfect for the younger crowd!
chavjenn, Paso Robles
I really loved this place because me being of the younger wine crowd, I felt that this winery really attracts to the younger crowd. There wines even though they only have reds are very good, especially for the first time wine tasters. They have that bold taste, but are not to dry. There wine labels and names of wines are very funny! i feel that you will really enjoy this place very much!! Plus it is in a great location!

I love the fact that only Reds are produced on this vineyard. And the selection was wonderful. The Zinfandels were rich and bold. Sitting by the large warm fireplace and enjoying my time with friends and some family was a memorable time and I was happy to have shared it with them. This is a very relaxed and friendly place.
