Description

Claudia Springs Winery is a family-owned micro-winery producing limited quantities of premium wines exclusively from Mendocino County vineyards, with a special emphasis on Anderson Valley fruit. This winery is right off Highway 128 at the deep (western) end of Anderson Valley, close to the beautiful redwood trees at Hendy Woods and Navarro River Redwoods State Parks.

The unpretentious tasting room is behind a real estate office and adjacent to a restaurant. The location is certainly not elegant, but the wines make it a worthwhile, albeit funky, visit. The tasting room is a small space with a tile floor and a simple tasting bar.

Bob and Claudia Klindt do all the work, from crushing and pressing to bottling and marketing. They produce limited quantities of premium Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, Petite Sirah, Pinot Gris and Viognier. They also produce a high-end wine called Harmonique. To make sure you don’t miss the place, you might want to call ahead for directions.

Small, small place but a fun little stop in Anderson Valley. Recommended.
