Coquelicot Vineyard Description

Meandering down Grand Avenue in Los Olivos, you are beckoned by numerous wineries to come in and experience all that their tasting rooms have to offer.   With more than ten tasting rooms on Grand Avenue alone, it is nearly impossible to hit them all in one day.  However, if you are looking for a rousing game of bocce ball, an expansive outdoor picnic area and some fine wines to enjoy with your lunch, then the tasting room for Coquelicot Vineyard should not be missed!

The tasting room for Coquelicot Vineyard has a modern feel with its long cement tasting bar, which is nicely complemented by an exposed wood beam ceiling that provides contrast to the modern design elements in the tasting room.  The tasting list is expansive and includes predominantly estate grown varietals that are farmed organically.   Coquelicot Vineyard produces Rhone, Bordeaux, Burgundy and Italian wines, and they are best known for their Sangiovese and Sauvignon Blanc.

While you are enjoying Coquelicot Vineyards many wines, you have the opportunity to peruse their gift shop, which has a variety of items including books, gift baskets, clothes and food items.
If you choose to have a snack while you are there, you can take it out onto their large tree shaded patio and enjoy it while watching or playing a bocce ball game.

Some friends and I found Coquelicot less than a month after they opened and loved it! You can't beat great wine and a rousing game of bocce ball. Check them out!

Sauvignon Blanc

I went on a little vacation to Santa Barbara and decided to go to lunch at Coquelicot with a few friends. We did some wine tasting and all agreed upon a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc it is a really smooth wine which I would recommend anyone going wine tasting in the Santa Barbara region to try out.
