Cougar Vineyard & Winery Description

Cougar Vineyard and Winery is a enjoyable stop in the Temecula Valley showcasing a number of estate grown Italian and French varietals along with Sparkling wine and some dessert wines.

The tasting room is right inside the winery between the barrels and vats. The winery is small and family owned without a lot of the trappings and amenities of the larger wineries in the region. You may actually be greeted by one of the owners in this simple but authentic winery. There are plans for a upgraded tasting room for the future.

The estate grows Sangiovese, Montepulciano, Vermentino, Aglianico, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec varietals with a bit of Syrah. The wines are well made with

Enjoy your picnic at one of the eight picnic tables surrounded by olive trees overlooking the vineyards or bring your own blanket to spread out on. Deli items are available and on weekends limited amount of gourmet sandwiches are available.

Probably the best overall wine and food pairing during the tour. Didn't make it to the tasting room this trip but friendly happy staff.

Very chill and laid back place. Really liked the winery dogs that were roaming around too! Not to mention some real good wines
