Daniel Gehrs Winery Description
With a distinguished resume of successful winemaking ventures, Daniel Gehrs has now created his own label. He produces Dry Chenin Blanc, Unoaked Chardonnay, Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Sangiovese, proprietary red blends, and Port.
The tasting room and gift shop is situated in the landmark Heather Cottage on “Tasting Room Row” in Los Olivos. Constructed in 1904, the building boasts whitewashed wood flooring and a wooden bar with a brass foot railing. Gift items include French-country and English-cottage-style items for the home. In the back is a shaded patio "wine garden" and an additional tasting bar that is open on fair weather Saturdays and for special events.

No skimp on quality hereTheAmericanIdol, Santa Barbara All around excellent. The owner has several decades of experience and produces a nice variety of wines. Since he does small batches it allows him to focus on quality and being able to create an impressive variety. You cannot go wrong by stopping in! When I was in, my favorite at the time was the 2005 Sauvignon Blanc. It would go great with any dessert of any kind, in my opinion. It is has a mellow aroma of cream, citrus (almost orange), and honey. It is smooth finish of peach and citrus. Be sure to stop in, you wont be disappointed.
