Derby Wine Estates Description

Longtime farmers Ray and Pam Derby originally intended to grow and sell grapes from their three vineyards in San Luis Obispo County: Derbyshire, Derby, and Laura's Vineyard. After many years as a grower, Ray saw the potential of each vineyard and in 2006 he and Pam created Derby Wine Estates. Using just 20 select acres for their own brand, the Derbys continue to sell the remainder of their 400 planted acres. The diversity of each vineyard is the core of Derby Wine Estates.

In 2010, the Derbys purchased the historical Paso Robles Almond Growers Building and began rejuvenating it. In April of 2014 the building opened and is now home to our full production facility and Tasting Room. We offer tours of the building daily.

Great Find!

Stumbled on this great little winery when visiting my daughter at Cal Poly. Always look forward to their Wine Club shipments. Especially enjoy the MoCab and Cab Franc..

Really liked their wine. When we were there two winemakers from the area were buying the Derby wine! Zin and Cab.
