Eagle Castle Winery Description
On a prominent hill overlooking the lush surroundings of the Santa Lucia Mountains, and the vineyards on the west side of Paso Robles, you will see the enchanted environs of Eagle Castle Winery. The theme here is unabashed medieval romance with lords and ladies, knights in armor, and wine by the goblet. One of the newest wineries in the Paso Robles appellation, this old world castle, tasting room and event center has it all—including a moat!
Eagle Castle Winery draws upon the imagery of an Alsace-Lorraine legend to bring the old world to the new world. The winery also looks to the symbol of an eagle for inspiration with the image found on their labels. Golden and Bald eagles enjoy the habitat of nearby lakes and may be glimpsed from the Castle’s ramparts. Inside the large spaces are coats of armor, antique tables, and metal shields, and the like adorning the walls. Miniature porcelain knights, unique carvings, glassware, pottery, candles, along with gourmet food items are for sale in their extensive gift shop. Tables are available for picnicking with outstanding views of the area.
The grapes are sourced from six separate vineyards located on both the west and east sides of Paso Robles. This arrangement allows a wide variety of blending options to take advantage of the many individual microclimates of the Paso Robles region. Wines produced include Barbera, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petite Sirah, Syrah, Zinfandel, Marsanne, Roussanne, Viognier, red and white blends and late harvest Zinfandel and Viognier.

All About Atmospherealinzey, Morro Bay Well Eagle Castle is a great building and place to take pictures. The wine itself, not worth the stop. Check out the castle if you really want to, otherwise don't bother stopping.

Bad Wine ExperienceWinoJohn, Long Beach, CA Although the Castle is cute, the cleanliness is questionable. My experience was greatly disappointing by witnessing them serving wine in glasses not properly cleaned and sanitized. Food prices are unreasonably high and the wine is substandard. All in all, I wouldn't visit them again.

novembereaglecastlewinery, ps The experience was great, they had the fire place going when i arrived, we had lunch with a wine tasting in the crown rm food was delicious it filled us up! We had the burger and the salmon sandwich. They have a new winemaker which i didn't know an his wines are realeased this year 2007 wines are great! zin chard and the rose i purchased a bottle of each! yea its a castle , but who cares each winery has their own themes & i appreciate them being so hospitable the place was immaculate ! Were flying in from hawaii just to go to their new Tiara Club that should tell you all how much we like the food and wine. Ppl shouldn't snob this place, they don't focus on the little guys thats for sure they are reaching out to bigger places good for them

It's about the wine, folks.truewines, I did not enjoy this place much. It catches the eye, but there isn't a lot of focus on the wine.

Castle n WineEagle12, Our second stop of the trip and we were not disappointed. You have to stop just to see the castle and its beautifully finished interior. The wines are good and its a fun place just to see. The staff was very knowledgeable and our pour er wore large jewelry trying to capture a time long ago. A cute place to visit if you have some extra time.

Just like a castle!chavjenn, Paso Robles Even though their wines are great, their actual winery itself is just so beautiful! If you are just wanting to go for a drive I recommend you take a drive out to this winery because it looks just like a castle with a mote that goes around the castle itself!

Tour Bus FavoriteBrenJ, Long Beach Eagle Creek might be a worthwhile stop for the kitsch of the place if it weren't for the fact that the tasting room is packed with limo and bus groups all the time. If you don't mind screaming groups I guess the experience is OK. Their best wine was the Viognier. Crisp and wonderful with lighter dishes. The rest weren't all that memorable. Skip this one and head up Anderson a bit to Midnight Cellars or even Dark Star.

fantastic wineryadamjf, San Diego This one is worth it just for the unique design and view. The wine tasting is free. They offer a large selection of wines to try. My favorites were the Merlot, Muscat Canelli, and Late Harvest Zinfandel. Did I mention that the wine tasting is free?
