Ferrara Winery Description

The Ferraras are the oldest active grape-growing, wine-making family in San Diego County, supplying wines to California since 1932. As a result, the State of California designated the Winery a State Historical Point of Interest in 1971.  The winery is straight out of 1933, the year it was first opened.  

They offer two specialty wines, Almond De Luz and a Christmas Port.  Sparkling wines come in almond and extra dry.  Their Generation III Port is blended with 60 year old wines. Ferrara offers juices too, four different takes on the standard grape ju

Nestled amongst houses in a suburb, it is rumored that to hear Mama Ferrara talk is alone worth the trip.
