Housed in a redwood barn, the Foursight Wines tasting room is a comfortable space, with a redwood bar made of reclaimed lumber and stained concrete floors. Visitors can choose to belly up to the bar or sit down at one of the high tables crafted from whiskey barrels while one of the family members pours their award-winning wines.
The 2007 Sauvignon Blanc was fermented and aged in 100% stainless steel to retain its natural, bright acidity and tropical fruit notes.
The fruit for the Pinot Noir was hand-harvested from their estate vineyard. Family members are always on-site for harvest, helping to pick and sort in the field, as well as ensure that the fruit arrives at the winery cool and clean.
The wine was 100 percent destemmed and fermented with wild yeast. Punchdowns were done by hand and malolactic fermentation was completely wild as well. No racking was done while the wine was aged in about 33 percent new French oak.
