Hanna Winery (Santa Rosa) Description
Hanna Winery has two tasting rooms (see their Healdsburg tasting room listing) but only one winery. It is here on Occidental Road where you can taste the wine that is made just a few hundred yards away.
The simple wood-sided tasting room is right off the road. There is a small awning-shaded patio in front that has a couple of chairs and a fountain. A second patio is in back under redwood trees and is better protected. Inside is a cute little place with a wood tasting bar, some gift items and an attentive and friendly staff.
Hanna Winery has more than 600 acres of land, with approximately 250 acres planted to vines in the Russian River Valley, Alexander Valley, and its Bismark Ranch in the Mayacamas Mountains
Christine Hanna, the eldest daughter, runs the daily operations and maintains the familial touch. Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Syrah, Malbec, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc are produced, with many of the wines available only in the tasting room.

HannaGlass Man, Orange County Hanna. Sept 28, 3:10PM, 105 degrees. This was a good stop. Jenny poured. She was terrific. Great views. The Bismarck Mountain wines were incredible! So refined! So balanced! So damned expensive!
• 09 Sauvignon Blanc Russian River, $19. I liked it.
• 08 Chard, $25
• 08 Pinot, $35. One of my favorite Pinot’s so far on the trip.
• Two Ranch Red, $27. Zin., Merlot, Sarah blend.
• Bismarck Mountain (BM) 05 Cabernet Sauvignon, $53.
• BM 04 Cab, $52, my favorite of the cabs
• BM 07 Titan, $58.
• BM 06 Zin, $52.
• BM 06 Petite Syrah, $50

Syrahjoeguy3, Santa Rosa I'm not usually much of a fan of Syrah but this winery truely makes a great blend. The taste was impossible not to like. The picnic tables around the winery are in a really pretty place here in Santa Rosa. I'd recommend this winery for people looking for a nice bottle of wine, or just a nice afternoon.
