Hart Winery Description

Hart Winery is the first winery along Rancho California Road that you come to once you leave Temecula, and it is one of the oldest in the region. It‘s set in a charming, rustic spot overlooking its vineyards on the north side of the valley.

In the mid-1970s Joe and Nancy Hart and their three sons planted their
eight-acre vineyard with Syrah, Viognier, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc. In 1980, they built the winery and started making their wines, with the philosophy that small-scale winemaking is an art form.

The Western-themed, wood-sided winery building houses their operation, including the simple but hospitable tasting room. The wooden tasting counter displays their range of products; fermentation tanks, barrels, hoses and pumps are scattered about the rest of the room.

In addition to their estate wines, they also produce Barbera, Tempranillo, Zinfandel and Aleatico.

Hart wins with their hospitality
rozakraft, Temecula
I decided on being a member since the winery is very generous in giving free wine tastings to members and their friends. The reds are good, however, the Cabernet Sauvignon is my favorite. I always seem to walk out buying their Sauvignon Blanc. It's such a great white and is a wonderful wine to pair with appetizers and fish. Although the tasting bar is small, the staff is always friendly and the tables out back have a beautiful view if you want to picnic.

Hidden but worth the visit
ansmom, San Diego
Small tasting room, missed it the first drive-by. No area for the kids to run around, tasting room a little dark, no extras, very clean and nice to be in. Overall good value and tasty wines, I liked the Reds best. Syrah, Merlot, and 'Three' were my favorites. Not crowded, only one other couple there, not rushed, very personable, and good value.

Great Experience!
reachmcneal,
I visited this winery back when they were very young. Such a personal staff and quaint environment. The wine is very good. My recent visit was just as pleasant. Nice to see that some things don't change! Keep up the great job! Michele McNeal www.execvipshuttle.com

Cute, friendly, small winery

Average wines, very friendly staff. They only have dry wines, and they are all red except for two whites.

A Family Vineyard at Hart
Orion, Palos Verdes
This quaint little nook of Temecula holds the Hart of the family winery and vineyard. Hidden in the Temecula valley of Southern California the beautiful scenery adds to the tasting itself. While the size of the Hart Vineyard is small, it allows the Hart family to focus their passion and produce a premium variety of wines ranging from Merlot, Viognier, Syrah, Sangiovese, Zinfandel, and Cabernet Sauvignon. No matter what you taste you will surely be able to taste the love and effort that went into each bottle.
