Hidden Creek Wine

21 S. Livermore Ave
Livermore, CA 94550

Hidden Creek Wine Description

Hidden Creek Winery on Quarry Lane is the perfect place to learn about wine and become part of the Hidden Creek world.

The Crush has seminars that marry the best of traditional artisan winemaking techniques and modern technology.  Californian winemaking now challenges the world for quality and originality.  The Crush gives you the chance to learn how all this comes together in a fun and relaxing atmosphere.

The art of great winemaking comes from the individual care and attention each step of the process can be given.  The Hidden Creek wines produced at The Crush are all small lot, no more than 300 cases of each wine is produced.  They use a combination of new and previously filled French and American oak barrels to get a balance of Oak that is unique to each wine.

Creative uses of different yeasts enable them to maximise the potential of each grape to produce a fabulous wine.

A new tasting room located in Blacksmith Square in Livermore is open Friday through Sunday 1-6 PM.

Jim Frost of Hidden Creek Winery
Andrew Glazier, Livermore
Jim Frost is a brilliant wine maker who has an answer for any wine question. For instance, I asked about "Legs" in wine and he proceeds to explain sugars and alcohol reactions where viscosity etc. etc. over my head but he CLEARLY knows his stuff. His classes are not advertised because they ALWAYS sell out so I would recommend seeing him during business hours and ask any question, and pull up a chair. BTW his wine is well worth the visit.
