Jacuzzi Family Vineyards Description

From hot swirling water and bubbles to organic grapes and a destination winery, the Jacuzzi family is enjoying it all. This winery was inspired by the Jacuzzi family home in the northern Italian city of Casarsa. With a look reminiscent of a medieval monastery, it consists of a complex of smaller sand-colored stone and stucco-clad structures organized around a romantic central courtyard. Traditional architectural details and natural materials add to the visitor’s sense that the buildings pre-date their actual construction.

The interior features Venetian-style glass chandeliers, a 17-foot stone-cast fountain imported from Italy, and an 80-year-old fig tree. Mature olive trees adorn the entrance.

The Vineyard Vista overlooks wetland preserves, other vineyards and distant mountain ranges. The Jacuzzi Family Vineyards farms using the “Green String” method, known to well exceed organic farming standards. Wines produced include Barbera, Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noir, Primitivo and Sangiovese.

The best winery in California
mikesq, Marshfield
I love Jacuzzi. I look forward to visiting all year long. The do Italian wine better than most other California wineries. Their Nero d'Avola is stunning, I buy it by the case. (Note, if you love Italian wine, two other extraordinary wines are the Barbera at Tamas in Livermore and the Barbera at Borra in Lodi). They have a large tasting room with lots of accessories, clothing, candy and snacks food . Across the hall from the wine tasting room is an olive oil tasting room with an amazing variety of excellent olive oils. Make sure you take the winery tour.

When we arrived, there were two tour buses (the full sized ones, not the vans), so we went to Cline across the street and returned later. I was surprised to see some many tours on a Thursday. Much quieter when we arrived the second time. We enjoyed talking to Ron who poured for us. This was the stop we were most looking forward to, because we loved their wines during our last visit. Turned out to be a big disappointment, and our favorite wine, the Aleatico, was no longer offered except as a late harvest. Prices have increased substantially. Before we left, the tour busses arrived. We did have a snack in the courtyard, which was beautiful and peaceful. This marked the first time on our trip it was below 97 degrees at lunch time. • 07 Pinot, S C, $22. Very tart, very tannic. • 08 Sangiovese, $22. Same as above. Not much to say. • 07 Nebbiolo, $28. Ho-hum. • 08 Paso Robles Aglianico, $22.40. All tannins, no fruit, no flavor. • 08 Tracy Hills Nero D’Avola, $28 Better, more balanced. • 07 Lake County Primitivo, $22 A little better than the Nero D’Avola. • 08 Paso Robles Lagrein, $28 Similar to a Zin. • 08 Tracy Hills Sagrantino, $28. Jammy, lots of berry fruit, and floral tones. • 08 Rosso Di Sette Fratelli (the 7 brothers), $28. The varietal is actually called Montefalco Sagrantino. We both like it. Smooth tannins, tobacco. • 07 Cab, SC Reserve, $25. Fruit nose. Not much else going for it. • 06 Valeriano, classic 5 varietal Bordeaux blend. $40 • 08 Cab, not on price list, no yet released. Nice.

A wonderful choice
kp, Coconut Creek
My husband and I just spent 11 days in California visiting the wineries. We loved Jacuzzi. We have been to Italy many times and it was just like an Italian villa. The olive oils and gift shop was very nice and we were able to find several items to buy as gifts to bring to friends and family. The wines were very good. Those we kept for ourselves! Rich full bodied reds are our favorite and we were not disappointed.

The grounds are breathtaking. The staff is friendly. The variety is endless. I loved the two tasting rooms. One for wine and one for olive oil.

Great Stop with Good Wines
Wino, Los Angeles
This is a very cool place to visit and is across the highway from Cline Vineyards which is also one of my favorites. Jacuzzi (yes the spa family) has gone all out creating a destination that has lots very good wine and a great place to taste and explore. The whites were good and the reds the best!
