The Le Vin Family Wine Business has been in existence since 1983originally founded by Bernard Levin. The winery and vineyard reside high above the Anderson Valley within the Yorkville Highlands Appellation. They make luscious Cabernet Sauvigon and Syrah.
The owners of Le Vin, Holly Harman and husband winemaker Eric Levin, use hand cultivation and other low impact methods in their vineyard and apply organic compost, fish emulsion and Summa Minerals for soil enrichment. Low growing clovers and beneficial insects enhance the ecosystem. The Le Vin highland mountain vineyards rise up 1550 to 1900 feet above sea level and above the fog. The organic vineyard is planted to five acres of Merlot, five acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, three acres of Cabernet Franc, three acres of Syrah, 250 olive trees and sharing the land with 125 redwood trees.
The rustic property receives visitors to their tasting room where you can sample wine and their hand pressed olive oils. Overnight accommodations are available. The Le Vin label was illustrated by Stephen Haines Hall, the well known wine poster and label artist. The image symbolizes the romance of wine, olive oil, delicious healthy foods, and living the good life in harmony with nature.
