Lightheart Cellars is an estate winery in the Santa Clara Valley AVA. They offer hand crafted Bordeaux and Burgundy style wines from single family vineyards, many of which are actively managed by the family to control quality and optimize fruit characteristics.

They use sustainable methods, minimum chemicals and tillage, manual canopy management and harvest, working with the soil, rather than sterilizing it. Their vineyards are a bit shaggier, but we prefer that to the "scorched earth" look.

Founded in 2009, and opened to the public in 2011. Currently open first and third weekends for tasting, or by appointment. They participate in the Wineries of Santa Clara Valley events such as passport weekends, local wine strolls and the Gilroy Garlic Festival as well as being represented at many charitable events in the area.

You can find their wines at some of the area restaurants, and on the shelf at Rocca's Market, in San Martin, if you can't make it to the winery.

Chevy the wonder cat is keeping the vines free from Rodents, but you won't likely see him, as he is rather shy.
