LinCourt Vineyards Description
A former dairy set on a hillside just south of Los Olivos is now the home of LinCourt Vineyards. The quaint tasting room is actually an original Sear’s Craftsman kit home, while the milking barn has been converted to the winery and barrel room. Under a giant California Pepper tree a picnic table overlooks the estate vineyards, further adding to the rural charm of the place. A raised, covered observation and picnic deck looks out over the vineyards. A horseshoe pit just a few yards from the vineyard completes the country setting.
In the tasting room gardening tools, watering cans, garden containers and related items are for sale. Wines produced include classic the Burgundy varietals Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, as well as Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Grapes are sourced from their own holdings as well as from other Santa Barbara County vineyards. (As you drive south from LinCourt remember to slow down and take a gander at the miniature horse ranch just down the road.)

Old Time FeelSoCal Lush, Santa Cruz Talk about old country feeling: this winery used to be a dairy farm and the winery still maintains it's old fashioned roots. The tasting room is somewhat small but is charming. The staff is very friendly and the winery has a very family-run feeling around it. LinCourt has a good variety of wines available. On my visit I tried a variety of wines but decided my favorite was their 2002 Pinot Noir. It's flavorful aroma has essence of berry and spice. This is a medium bodied wine as well. I'd highly recommend this winery. No trip to Santa Barbara's wine country (Santa Ynez Valley) would be complete without visiting this truly amazing vineyard.
