Lumiere Winery is a family owned and operated boutique winery located in the heart of the Temecula Valley Wine Country. They primarily focus on producing Bordeaux style wines from the grapes they grow on their 30-year-old estate vineyard. Winemaker/owner Andrew Kleiner oversees every aspect of production from bud-break to bottle, insuring total quality control at every step.
Though the creation of Kliener’s family's winery is only recent, within the year 2007, the nearly 22 acres of vines he now oversees are not recent at all. His vineyards have been in his family since 1987. Most of the vines were planted prior to his family's involvement with the land, dating back to as early as 1980.
Located on mostly easterly facing slopes, Lumiere Winery is located several hundred yards north of Longshadow Ranch. The acreage was originally exclusively planted to Sauvignon Blanc, which fits with what was once in vogue in Temecula: the planting of all white varietals. In 2006, Andrew decided it was time to take the family's legacy with the land a step further, and began to produce their own wines, marking the beginning of Lumiere Winery.
Nestled on a hilltop above the vineyards, Lumiere’s tasting room is a rustic, yet elegant setting to experience these handcrafted wines.
