Manzoni Estate Vineyard Description
Just off River Road is the narrow lane that leads you to the petite home of Manzoni Estate Vineyard. Sculpted metal grapevines surround their oval sign on the road. An ancient International Harvester tractor and some rusted farm implements are used as part of the landscape, which is planted in colorful flowers.
Head toward the American flag and you come to the Quonset-hut tasting room perched looking over the fields that the family farms. Inside, wine barrels support a thick wood butcher-block tasting counter. A Swiss flag from the “Old Country” is prominently displayed, along with wine medals and boutique items.
The family grows Pinot Noir and Chardonnay to make their estate wines; they also produce a Syrah from sourced grapes. Their goal is to produce intense, complex wines that are pleasing to the palate.
