Maple Creek Winery (Artevino) Description

Artevino and Maple Creek Estate Winery produce limited-production, high-quality and hand-crafted wines at a bucolic 180-acre wooded hillside ranch. The
family-owned operation is a blend of their passions for both art and wine. Chardonnay is their flagship offering, but there is plenty of red wine to discover as well, including a luscious Zinfandel.

Head up the long paved drive past the organic vineyards and wooded hillsides to find the restored redwood barn that hosts the tasting room and winery of Maple Creek and its sister label Artevino. The cozy barn is filled with the owner’s brilliant artwork, gourmet treats and a tasting counter full of wine.

In addition to their barrel-fermented Burgundian-style Chardonnay, the winery produces some wonderful reds, including a Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, an estate Merlot, their Cowboy Red blend of Zinfandel and Merlot, their Montage Bordeaux blend, a white blend called Buckin’ Blanco, an off-dry Rosé and a late-harvest Flora.

The art nouveau-influenced labels are designed by owner, artist and winemaker Tom Rodrigues. His vineyard artwork and label design is well known in the industry, and some of his art is on display in the winery.

The ranch has 12 acres of sustainable and organic Chardonnay, Merlot and Symphony wine grapes, along with organic gardens, fruit orchards, seven springs and a forest of trees. There is a new patio out in front of the tasting room furnished with tables and chairs for enjoying the peaceful, rustic environment.

Friendly and easy going

Just stopped in on our tour and fell in love with this wonderful place. The family-owned hostpitality was so welcomed by us! The wines are amazing and for such a small winery, it's great to see so many wines from the smally property (not ALL are from the 16 acres they have). We tasted 10 wines or so and ended up finding many we liked. Really enjoyed this placed and were surprised to find such a beautiful, kind and generous winery and staff!

Loved this Place!

You have to drive up this long driveway to the winery but what a funky little gem of a place once you get there. A family run joint with the winemaker pouring for us during our visit. Wonderful reds and many made from organic grapes. There is a nice patio to sit and enjoy amidst the trees and hillside. We will be back.
