Mayo Family Winery produces small lots of single-vineyard wines under the premise that the world's most interesting and highest quality wines must come from a single-vineyard source.
Founded in 1993, the winery has two winemaking facilities in Glen Ellen, California, each fitted and equipped to produce particular types of wines. Mayo Family wines are only sold online or in their three tasting rooms in Sonoma.
The Glen Ellen tasting room is an attractive space right along Arnold Drive at Highway 12. The barn like structure is home to their hospitality center where you can enjoy their many wines. Try their "adventure tasting" where you can sample Carignane, Alicante Bouschet and Sangiovese. They produce over 40 wines including, dessert wines, sparkling wines and a number of Sonoma County Zinfandels.
For something special try the Mayo Family Reserve Room in nearby Kenwood for a first class food and wine experience.
