This newly opened winery specializes in rich flavorful Cabernet Sauvignon. Their brand new building sits on top of a small hill where views of the valley are breathtaking. 

The McGrail Vineyards and Winery, founded by Jim and Ginger McGrail, was planted in 1999 with the intent of producing the finest Cabernet grapes in the Livermore Valley as well as rival Cabernet grapes from the Napa Valley. 

The McGrail Vineyards and Winery is a 16 acre hillside Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard in the Livermore Valley.  This rolling vineyard is at approximately 1,000 feet above sea level.  The vineyard was planted in 1999 on 5BB rootstalk with Clone 8 and 15 Cabernet Sauvignon.  The vines are spaced at 5’ x 7’ and planted in a VSP, vertical shooting positioning.
