As you head up the long driveway, past their extensive vineyards, you’ll find yourself on the top of a small knoll surrounded by majestic, 200 years old oak trees, landscaped herb and flower gardens and idyllic country picnic grounds. There is a large event lawn back to the side of the winery building adjacent to the vineyards. Follow the path that leads up to a  the winery and tasting room. Along the way are name plates identifying many of the well tended plants.

Out in front of the natural stone winery building is a lovely patio with tables and umbrellas under a giant Chinese Pistachio tree. Inside is the long, narrow, tasting room punctuated by large window that look down on the impressive barrel room. The stained concrete floors mix with an array of gourmet items for sale including the usual wine accessories as well as cowboy hats and BBQ sauces.

They offer a range of tasting options including their Limited Release Tasting - $5, which includes a selection of five tasting room exclusive wines.  The Cheese & Wine Pairing - $10 and the Chocolate & Wine Pairing - $10 which includes a selection of four tasting room exclusive reds paired with four artisan dark chocolates by Scharffen Berger.

Part of the large Fosters Wine Group, Meridian produces a range of value priced, widely distributed wines including Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah. Limited small lot production wines are available in the tasting room and to club members only. Zinfandel, Sangiovese, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Noir are part of their limited release program. Some of these releases are under 300 cases and sell out quickly.
