Minassian-Young Vineyards Description
Located on a scenic hilltop in the center Westside Paso Robles, the winery produces Zinfandels, Rhone and Bordeaux blends. Picnic on the deck and enjoy the beauty of the estate vineyard, walnut trees and the Santa Lucia Mountains.
On the estate, is a 35-year old dry farmed Zinfandel vineyard with new plantings of Rhone varietals. The wines are produced in a consistent manner, where differences arise from variables of temperature and rainfall. This approach ensures that every vintage is representative of the terroir for each vineyard.
Minassian-Young Vineyards opened its doors in the summer of 2005. The winery and tasting room are situated on a ridge with views that unfold to the Santa Lucia Mountains and beyond. The panorama of head pruned vines is framed by beautiful walnut trees, giving visitors a true sense of place.
On the estate is a twenty-five-year-old dry farmed Zinfandel vineyard and new plantings of Syrah and Counoise grapes. The Zinfandel grapes reflect the strong heritage of Westside Paso, and the new plantings are typical of Rhone varietal grapes which are coming of age in the area. The vineyards are managed with quality and sustainability in mind. All the grapes used are either estate grown or carefully selected from other estates and sought-after vineyards.
Production is currently divided between Zinfandel, Bordeaux and Rhone varietals in select handcrafted lots. Releases include Viognier, Mourvedre and Marsanne-Roussanne blends, as well as the Syrah and Zinfandel.

NEVER again!!!bruderlin, La The winery itself is beautiful, but based on how RUDE the staff is, I would NEVER go back. The wine was not very good either. Not only did they majorly overcharge us, they were extremely insulting when asked to rectify it. We heard other guests saying the same thing so I know ours wasn't an isolated experience.

Rhone Blendsmargedoor5, Santa Cruz I really enjoyed the Rhone blended wines at Minassian-Young. If you like that sort of style wine I would definitely check out this winery. The winery was also in a very gorgeous area and had an outstanding view of it's surrounding areas. It was really in a perfect spot for wine tasting. The wine tasting room was also really nice and the people were really friendly.
