Noggle Vineyards and Winery Description

Noggle Vineyards and Winery is a family-owned boutique winery in the secluded Old Long Valley region of the blossoming Lake County appellation. The six acre Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard sits on a 1,500 foot bench below Round Mountain and above the North Fork of Cache Creek.

A combination of mineral rich soil and hot summer temperatures with breezy, cool nights promotes a slow, even ripening of the grapes. Michael Noggle brings the fruit-forward drama of the hot mountain landscape and crystal blue skies into the bottle. In addition to fine, silky Cabernet Sauvignon, they also produce a crisp Sauvignon Blanc.

I really enjoyed the Cabernet Sauvignon when I went to this winery. I really thought what I was drinking was a much more expensive wine then it really was. I believe it was about fifteen dollars a bottle which is right in my budget. Nice feel at this winery because it is family owned and comfortable.
