Peachy Canyon Winery Description

Right off Highway 46 west is the Old Bethel School house, now tasting room for Peachy Canyon Winery. You pass under the timbered entry and take a trip back to simpler times. The old school house (circa 1886) is wonderful place to taste the rich Peachy Canyon  wines.

The property offers a quaint, homey tasting experience with an old-fashioned gazebo, and a park-like visitors' picnic area, all bordered by rolling vineyards and native oak trees. The extensive gift shop is packed with picnic baskets, relishes, dips, sauces, wine gift bags, stemware, colorful pottery, logo clothing and wine accessories. The two tasting counters and lovely outdoor areas give you plenty of room to relax and taste.

Red wine is the theme here as no whites are produced. They make 15 different wines and blends with eight different Zinfandel offerings, including a Zinfandel rose and a late harvest dessert wine. To make their wine they combine age-old and modern "pioneering" wine grape growing techniques with traditional fermentation methods to produce full flavored, regionally distinct wines.

Peachy Canyon grapes come from four west side vineyards where they grow Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petite Syrah. From purchased grapes they produce Cabernet Franc, Syrah, and a Rhone style blend.

winery guy,
We love stopping at our favorite wine stop in Paso. Great people and got to love the Zins. Club deals are great and good place to bring a picnic. Favorite.

Best Stop we had
Kendra,
This is what I think is the perfect wine tasting room. The wines are divine with a wide range of reds to keep everybody happy. Then there is the people who were so nice and helpful, and not too pushy. There is a great big lawn area in the back shaded with giant mature trees for a perfect picnic spot. Also a interesting gift shop with some unique cooking type items. We loved it all.

Finally made the visit

I've been travel ling past this winery for years on my way to Cayucos, but never stopped until last year. This winery was recommended for its Zins, but I ended up buying the Cab Franc. Some good wines, but nothing jumped out as special.

The Zins at this place are incredible. The merchandise is witty and fun. But the Zin Port with Dark Chocolate is AMAZING. Also LOVELY grounds

Great Zins & Other Red Varietals
striker13, Paso Robles
Peachy Canyon has great Zins, if you are a Zin fan this is a must stop during your visit. It is common to find 7 different Zins on the tasting list. They also have a nice Viognier, Cab, Petite Sirah and blends that are limited in production and only available through their tasting room and wine club. I like to bring a picnic and enjoy their beautiful grounds, enjoy!

Average at best

The staff here was very nice and fun to interact with; however I found the wines to be hit and miss as far as my tastes were concerned. I also noticed that the prices seemed to be higher here then when I've purchased some of their wines in the store.

Maybe I am biased because I am a lover of Reds and would go for an exquisite Red over any white, any day. So this vineyard was absolutely perfect for me, I was unaware of the fact that only Reds are made here upon arrival, but when I realized I was ecstatic. I left with a variety of the collection including the Petite Syrah, Cabernet Franc, and the Zinfandel. And I will definitely be coming back for more.
