Robert Pecota has been a grape grower and winemaker since 1970. His first Robert Pecota Winery vintage was released in 1978, deriving from his small vineyard and winery in Calistoga. As his daughters grew, they joined the business and spanned their marketing across the states and internationally. But in 2006, Robert decided to cut back on the expanse of the business. He sold the original winery and vineyard and now produces his Robert Pecota wines on a smaller scale. He is focusing more on the quality of grape rather than quantity.
Robert Pecota Winery produces Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah, selling their wines directly to customers in their tasting room. Their cozy tasting room is tucked away on beautiful Bennett Lane at the base of Mount St. Helena, in Calistoga.
