Rocky Creek Cellars Description

Perched up on a hill half way between Highway 101 and the Pacific Ocean you will find Rocky Creek Cellars. Rocky Creek Cellars focuses on the production of red wine varietals including Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Sangiovese and Zinfandel.

As you drive up the private driveway to the winery you can catch a glimpse of the beautiful hillsides surrounding the tasting room. The picturesque views can also be enjoyed while sitting in the grassy picnic area and listening to the soothing sounds of the wineries’ fountain.

Rocky Creek Cellars is a boutique, family run winery, and in most cases you will be welcomed by none other than one of the owners themselves when you enter the rustic and unique tasting room. If you’re not ready to start tasting right when you get there, feel free to relax on one of the comfortable couches in the tasting room, or enjoy perusing the local art work, pottery, jewelry and wood crafting.

When you are ready to enjoy the wines offered by Rocky Creek cellars, you will learn that all of their wines are completely handcrafted and spend a minimum of two years in barrel. The grapes utilized to make their wines are farmed utilizing organic farming techniques with approximately 30 percent of their wines including estate fruit.

Really enjoyed Rocky Creek Cellars Cabernet and recommend that you try it when you go. Really can't beat the great view from this place and the quaint fountain in the lush grassy area.

I was welcomed right away by John later to find out he was the owner. I tried all the wines and was very surprised by the smoothness of the wine. I ended up buying 6 bottles to take home and joined their wine club. I will defiantly be back next time I am in California.
