Wonderful Surprise!

We walked into Royal Oaks because we had gotten a 2 for 1 wine tasting coupon from the Solvang Visitor's Center. It is a small tasting room with 2 bars, not real fancy with some artwork, deli mustards and a few novelty items for sale. We found out Royal Oaks is the sister winery to Roblar Winery and they are currently working on building up the tasting room to the same level. As for the wine, we were very impressed. The Cardinal Red and Royal Red were our favorites, very fruit forward reds. Our friends walked away with the Concord Wine (aka "Adult Grape Juice") and the Syrah Rose. We couldn't become member this trip because we will be moving out of country for a little while but when we get back for our next visit we will definitely be joining!
