Shenandoah Vineyards Description
Up on a hill overlooking the Shenandoah Valley is the home of this family-run winery specializing in Amador County estate red wines. The tasting room is also a gallery, showcasing hand-crafted works from Indonesia and other exotic wares.
Zinfandel and Cabernet share the list, along with their Italian cousins Barbera, Primitivo and Sangiovese. They also produce wine from the traditional Spanish grape Tempranillo, which results in flavors of plum and black currants. The family owns nearby Sobon Estate Winery and over 145 acres of vineyards.
The new tasting room is a separate rock-walled structure in the winery complex. The tile floors and wood-paneled walls complement the generous space. Three tasting bars host their many weekend visitors.
A separate room up a small flight of stairs displays an eclectic collection of pottery, glassworks, carved masks, photographs and artwork. Many of the items are imported from Lombok Island in Indonesia.

Try it allHolly, Pasadena Anything on the list is something to try. I had a little bit of everything and found myself exploring the exotics in the shop, which were magnificent. I have also been to Sobon Vineyard so it was nice to visit a neighboring vineyard that share similar elements. A true element that I enjoyed more over is the fact that there is so much artwork, which is a passion of mine. So to combine to passions art and wine into one place was truly lovely. If you have the chance you should check it out.
