Planted in 1998, the vision for St. Hilaire Vineyard was to develop low-yielding and high-quality fruit. As a veteran home winemaker, John Anderson honed his winemaking skills and steadily began receiving accolades from family and friends.

Earning recognition at local and state competitions further proved that John had a knack for making quality wine. Improving on his wines meant going straight to the source - quality grapes. John and his wife Laural planted 5 acres in the Templeton Gap of the Paso Robles wine growing area.

The wines created at St. Hilaire Vineyard are hand crafted in small lots. They are barrel aged to bring out the complexity and character of each variety and to soften the tannins.
