Summerwood Winery & Inn Description
Just off Highway 46 West, sits a grouping of large, attractive, modern Victorian style buildings that serve as a winery, tasting room and Bed & Breakfast. The circular drive leads you to a brick path and the gardens leading to the covered veranda.
Designed for comfort and relaxation, Summerwood's large European style tasting room boasts plush, overstuffed chairs and a warm, crackling fireplace. The room has wood beamed ceilings and wood and tile inlaid floors, along with their black marble topped tasting bar.
For guests interested in sitting and sipping outside, French doors open onto an expansive brick deck, overlooking the estate vineyards and the rolling hills of west Paso Robles. There is also a private covered gazebo with room for a dozen visitors equipped with heaters for cool evenings. Informal tours can be arranged of the adjacent winery building. The boutique displays a good selection of logo clothes, wine accessories, wine books and a rotating themed display of culinary goodies.
The extensive vineyard is enclosed by hundreds of feet of a white picket fence and planted to Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. They are grown with high density plantings, minimal irrigation and reduced crop loads which result in smaller berry size — maximizing varietal character and intensity. Summerwood utilizes cover crops, compost and beneficial insect habitats to maintain vineyard health. Additional grapes are purchased from neighboring “west side” vineyards as well as from Templeton and southern Monterey County.
In addition to their Cabernet Sauvignon the winery produces mostly red Rhone style wines including some interesting blends and a Zinfandel Port. The wines are only available at the winery and through their wine club. There is a nine room luxury B&B set in the vineyards, with each room boasting a fireplace and private balcony. |

 Beautiful Settingmtbr101, San Luis Obispo Summerwood has a beautiful entrance to both their tasting room and the inn. Everything is well maintained and there is a large parking lot. Once inside you can see the barrel room and a lot of wine related merchandise. The staff was very friendly and informative. The wines were all pretty good, but I highly recommend the reserve tasting. Their reserve wines are excellent and it will be hard to walk away without purchasing one. Prices are on the high side for Paso, but Summerwood is definitely a step above most in the region.

Summerwood on a Summer DayLori Rose, Oxnard Very good Syrah and staff was highly knowledgable. Bought wine for my Daughter, Summer, who was getting married. Very nicely put together place with relaxed atmosphere.

Love the Wine/Love the INNvcgeno, Scottsdale The wine is first rate, especially the Reds. The tasting room is clean, friendly, and modern. Great views out the back door. We stayed at the INN for a couple of nights and loved every minute of it. The room was fantastic, breakfast was wonderful, the common areas were comfortable. We will be back.

Great Red Wines!chavjenn, Paso Robles I really enjoyed this place because there red wines, as well as there white wines were just amazing! I highly recommend buying a bottle of there Port! The staff is great as well!

 Comfortingshannon1, Los Angelas Summerwood wineries tasting room gives off a great vibe because of their comforting tasting room. The chairs are nice and soft, and it gives off a real nice at home feeling. My favorite wine that I tasted was the Cabernet Sauvignon. I bought a couple of bottles of it on my way out and they were gone when I got home within a few weeks.
