Terry Hoage Vineyards is a small family owned and operated vineyard and boutique winery focusing exclusively on Rhone varietals. Located in the western hills of Paso Robles the winery has an enviable hilltop perch surrounded by the vineyards of the west side of Paso Robles. Terry Hoage had a successful professional football career playing safety for the Philadelphia Eagles under legendary coach Buddy Ryan.
Terry and and his wife Jennifer's winemaking approach is to produce minimally processed wines. The 2100 case production for the 2006 vintage includes estate red and white Rhone style wines. Varietals planted on our estate include Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre, Counoise, Cinsault, Grenache Blanc, Picpoul Blanc and Roussanne. With fastidious farming practices the low yielding vines produce quality fruit forward wines.
The winery and tasting room is housed in a large barn constructed from the recycled wood from three mid-western barns that were being dismantled. The resulting mix of various wood types makes for a very attractive and functional winery. The well appointed tasting room has a galvanized steel tasting counter and a stained concrete floor. The property sits a the top of a small hill with a 360 degrees view of the wine country.
Terry Hoage wines are distributed on an allocation basis.
