Tesoro Winery Description

A visit to the new Tesoro tasting room is a treat for all the senses.  Whether you're exploring their many wines, enjoying the relaxed Tuscan ambiance, searching for the right gift, elegant wine accessories or home decor, the tasting room and gift shop offers a memorable experience.

Buzz and Kimberly Olson purchased a beautiful plot of land on Rancho California Road -- Temecula, California’s main road through wine country. Its vineyards on rolling hills and spectacular 360° view of the local mountains and valleys reminded them of Tuscany, Italy and led them to dream of developing the 20 acres into an Italian country complex including a winery and Bed & Breakfast-Villa.

Joining forces with family and close friends, Mary Might, Tom & Jamie Copenhaver, and a top rate winemaker,  Etienne Cowper, the Olsons are getting ready to begin construction on the winery and are now producing what they intend to be only the start of a beautiful array of premium Mediterranean style wines.

Tesoro’s new wine tasting room is open in Old Town’s Retail Shopping District on Old Town Front Street and open late -- after the winery's are done for the day. Here Tesoro shares a taste of its growing line up of luxury wines with you, shows you progress on the construction of the winery itself, as well as, shares some unique findings in there gift boutique.

Wine al fresca on our beautiful outdoor patio where you can sit back and watch the passers by in quaint Old Town Temecula -- where the hustle and bustle is growing more vibrant every day. Did you know, Old Town boasts several wine tasting locations, plus many varied fine dining options as well.

Great Atmosphere
cmaryann,
The staff is very helpful and friendly. It is like walking into someones home and the wood floors and tables gives the tasting room a rustic feel. You can go through a wine tasting or spend some time with one glass of wine or champagne (try the Hibiscus) and their Reds are amazing, especially the blends. This is a great stop before or after you grab something to eat in Old Towne Temecula.

Best in Temecula
dsz51, Temecula
Best amongst the other wineries that sell only a "good time" verses great wine and a good time. Wine club is the best in Temecula...I've been in the valley for 16 years and have tried them all, Tesoro provides great times, Buzz and Kimberly are great people and they make great wines.

A gem in the desert
winealicious, Casentino
This family operated gem in the Temeculan desert is an excellent choice. A step inside the doors took me back to my child-hood days of playing in the mountains of Casentino. The 06 Petite Sirah exceeded my expectations. The friendly staff are very knowledgeable and make you feel like part of the family. While you have many choices in this fine little town, Tesoro Winery is truly a must! Class Act! Molto Bene

Fantastic Winery in Temecula
cleazy, San Diego
One of the best selections of wine with very affordable wine tasting fees, extremely knowledgeable staff (most of them owners or family of the owners) who provide insight into the process, techniques, etc. The family friendly atmosphere provides a wonderful venue for wine tastings and summer events. I highly recommend stopping in this wonderful winery during your next cruise through Old Town Temecula!

We had a blast at this Tuscan themed tasting room. Some nice wines that you don't always find. Friendly people, good times. Good shopping as well.
