Tolosa Winery Description
Tolosa Winery is a custom grape crushing facility in the heart of Edna Valley and home to Tolosa Wines and its elegant, state of the art tasting room. Enjoy Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Syrah, Rose of Syrah, Pinot Noir and Merlot in hip and classy tasting salon.
The modern design incorporates wood, steel, cork floors, glass, modern lighting and a long beautiful “L” shaped tasting bar to create an inviting and educational wine tasting experience. Large windows look out on the winery with “Self guided tours of the winery” plaques outlining the winemaking process. A plasma TV gives you a “tour” of the facility. Gifts, clothing, and specialty foods are available.
To help discover the various olfactory components of a wine there is a component tasting area where 12 wine glasses are set with a bit of peach in one, a drop of vanilla in another, an apricot in a third and so on showing potential aromas found in their Chardonnay. Outside is a tasting bar along with a dozen tables, heaters, and a grassy lawn overlooking the extensive outdoor receiving area and the crush pad.

Experience TolosaDivineWine, Yosemite September, 2007 Tolosa's tasting room is small, but modern and stylish. A staff member actually came out from behind the tasting bar to aid me in the self guided tour process. I was impressed to learn that everything left over from the wine pressing process is recycled. The Pinot Gris was very pleasing to the palette. The tour literature describes, "wine as a gift of nature." I find this description both refreshing and truthful.

Nice. Very nice.Napan7, Napa September, 2007 Classy place. Nice tasting facility with an overlook onto their wine making facility. Nice selection of accessories to take home. Then there's the wine... I was particularly keen on the 2005 Late Harvest and the 2006 Viognier. Especially the viognier; it was fruity without being to sweet or tart and really, it's quite the bargain at only $20 a bottle. I took home several...
